Christopher Kane squisshy bags

The new Christopher Kane Fall/Winter bags are available on Net-a-Porter. They are even colorer that they looked in the fashion show. Now I just need to figure out how to get $750 and justify spending it on this bag. So cool.

Nail Art

Now that I have so much free time, one of the things I am into is nail art. I tried to do leopard print nails the other day, but the spots looked more like eggs than animal print. Found this, though it would be super cool. You can buy them here http://nailcouturela.bigcartel.com/

Disney World

I have been really interested in Disney World right now. I went like 8 times when I was a kid. It was the only family vacation we ever took. There is just something really uplifting about a place that claims to be the happiest place on earth. Plus it's where all of your dreams come true. I looked at their job openings, but all I found was jobs for people to work in the park at a whopping $7.55 an hour. And you better shower and shave that beard, cuz they have the largest list of appearance requirements I've ever seen. Regardless, I still wanna plan a vacation there for me and my hubbies one year anniversary this fall. I am thinking it's great inspiration. I think a Disney inspired collection is really cool. A pirate, a princess, maybe a mermaid. Makes me happy.

Frankenstein Mattel Dolls

So I saw these awesome Barbies when I was browsing through Target the other day. Their outfits are so cool. Well I was just reading Sea of Shoes and apparently she help design them. I wanna design a Barbie! "Club Kid Barbie" she would have the best outfits. Anyhow I love that blog. You ever notice that she eats a lot of hamburgers?

Pinky Toast

I discovered this new artist on etsy last night. I love her stuff. Right now she sells prints of her original artwork. She sells mirrors, coasters, pillows and dolls, and I think Christmas cards too. Would you buy any of these things if I sold it in my store? What if I sold her art on tote bags or on teeshirts? I love it, hope you think it's cool too.

Thoughts about Lime Light

So I have had this blog for about a week now and I haven't wrote anything in it yet. The reason for that is, I want everything figured out before I wrote my first post. The truth is that might be awhile. Lime Light was originally a brick and mortar store, but with everything going on with the economy right now, I am having problems finding the funding for a venture of that size. As of right now Lime Light is morphing into a online lifestyle retailer. This is what I am thinking about the brand. Lime Light is for the fashion forward 20 something female (and eventually male) that enjoys life and wants to show their personality off through their clothes. We will sell vintage and one-of-a-kind clothes and accessories, new and interesting brands, as well as a few old favorites. Lime Light will also have it's own line of clothes and accessories. I am also thinking about selling art or household items that are unique. I respect that in design your ideas are always changing, so don't be surprised if the ideas for Lime Light get changed along the way. Or even change completely. As for right now I am using this blog as a place to share my ideas and thoughts. Please share any comments you have about any of my post or ideas as the brand evolves.
